| Jeannie Hayward (MSc Zoology, US) |

Growing up in the Karoo, Jeannie has always had an intense love for the veld and nature. During her studies (MSc Zoology, US), she spent a lot of time in the Tankwa Karoo, Sandveld and Cederberg doing reptile research and surveys.
She then briefly left scientific research for a stint in the television industry. She joined Homebrew Films, where she worked as programme researcher and production assistant on the natural history television show GROEN. She then moved on to compile the text for the coffee table book “Shoreline – Discovering South Africa’s coast”, an accompaniment to the acclaimed SABC2 series Shoreline. After this she worked as researcher and production manager on a documentary series about South Africa’s threatened fauna and flora, produced for NHU Africa. She has always dreamed of a job where she can combine her passion for fieldwork with research, and the CLT Boland project is her ideal opportunity. |
