This majestic leopard has been named after a local man who lived and worked in Gamkaberg Reserve for most of his life and loved to take long walks in Tierkloof. As a result, he often encountered leopard on this track! We thought it appropriate to call our first leopard photographed in Tierkloof after Oom Pep. He has been seen at three of the other camera stations From this we were able to work out a minimum home range for him, which we found to be around 150 sq km. This is roughly 15000ha.
